Maggie

When I saw Maggie sitting on this brick path we have in our backyard I thought it made the perfect background. Her yellow coat really stands out and her eyes will make anyone fall in love with her. Dogs are so great!

Bath Time Friends

Childhood is absolutely amazing! I miss those days sometimes when toys were the center of the world and our best friends. When our imagination was endless and when we actually believed it was real. When minutes seemed like hours and hours felt like days... time just passes us by so quickly these days. It is in a photograph like this that makes me so thankful I have chosen to document these times in Brandon's life. A picture like this may not seem like much to many, but for me... I have a bath tub full of memories with my child.

Thank you Brandon for bringing so much joy to my life!

Faces

Something a little bit different for me today. I just loved the various faces Brandon was giving me and wanted to focus on his little lips.

A Beautiful Weed

Brandon was running around in the backyard and started to pick dandelions. It was so cute when he brought them over to me like real flowers. Had to snap a quick picture of his cute little hand.

Creative Crops

Just playing around today with some creative cropping. I LOVE to crop and find it to be one of the most enjoyable parts of photography. I think it is so amazing that the same picture can look so different with each crop.

Little Cutie

We must point at Brandon a lot when he is in trouble because lately everytime we wants to tell us something serious... he points his little finger and shakes it up and down.

The Face...

This is one of the many faces Brandon displays throughout the day. I believe he was in mid-sentence here and about ready to tell me, "no." I experimented with 'spot' metering today and I have to say... I like it.

Princess Macy

I didn't have time this weekend to practice with my camera. This whole house hunting and selling tends to consume the majority of my waking hours. My 365 project is no longer on the top of my list of priorities however I still intend to do my best to post daily. I took this photo of my friends beautiful little girl (you will see her face a lot on my website/business cards) while photographing her new little brother last week. I love her expression here... makes me wonder what she is thinking.

I also wanted to post my new logo! A lot is happening for Amanda Fish Photography this week so stay tuned...

Fonzie

Meet Fonzie, aka... my father. My dad is the director of a Barbershop Chorus in Fremont, NE (The Pathfinder Chorus) and every year they put on a Spring show. This year, the show had a 50's theme and my dad starred as, Fonzie. It was a great show and I am so glad we managed to take a few shots before hand. My dad even let me put on his face make-up... he looks pretty good with side burns and darkened eyebrows :) Brandon enjoyed "posing" with his grandpa.

Little Fighter

One of the many joys in photography is having opportunities like this one... to photograph and capture moments in a child's life that pass by so quickly. And, to capture these moments for one of your best friends (Thanks Lins)! I met this little fighter in the NICU and after many long days and nights he was able to come home to his proud sister who eagerly had been awaiting his homecoming.

Crazy Times!

I have been such a blog slacker! With the house being on the market, two sessions this weekend and trying to stay sane I have chosen to neglect my blog. My goal is to post a new picture tonight of my friends little baby boy once I get some down time to start proofing. Thanks for continuing to check for new posts... stay tuned. :)

It's Official!

Well... it is now official. Our house is up for sale! It is amazing how such a small thing like putting a sign in the yard can bring on so much emotion. This moment is very bitter sweet.

Storm Clouds

I love thunderstorms! The sky turned into this beautiful pinkish/purple right before our tiny storm so I ran out to document its beauty.

Bright

Wow... this weekend sure did fly fast. I told you I would have some interesting pictures of us getting our house ready. What was I thinking? Like I had time to take pictures :) We kept ourselves very busy with landscaping and cleaning that my body is feeling the all the effects. Took this while Brandon was playing outside in the warm sun! I am just loving this weather.

Signs of Spring

Nothing says Spring like grilled hamburgers... delicious! It was definitely colder today then the last few days but I got out and grilled anyway.

I am hoping for some interesting photos in the next couple of days. Matt and I took off work so that we could get our house ready to be put on the market! It's such an exciting yet nerve racking time all in one. I can't wait to start "house shopping" but of course that also brings on so many emotions. Hopefully, all will go smooth.

Still playing around with creative cropping. I like the negative space in this image so decided to extend it some for a greater effect. Brandon was once again... not wanting to perform for the camera. Gotta love this age!
